All the clubs in the Hunter region are committed to increasing growth in the Juniors ranks.
Most families have had some connection to squash, usually from family members having played it in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Today however a high percentage of children have not played or even heard of squash. Usually because access to squash isn’t as easy as it was previously.
Due to platforms like SquashTV there are now more ways for people to get access to high quality squash media, however court access and Junior programs are lacking to help support the new ways people access media and translate that into engagement.
Our priorities to support Parents and Guardians who have a child interested in squash are:
- Easy access to squash facilities and equipment
- A safe and supportive environment
- Obvious progression pathways
- Cost effective engagement
- A way to connect with other Juniors to make it more enjoyable
If you as a Junior or a Parent/Guardian of a junior want to enquire further or register your interest, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
